First established way back in 2014, TheLorry is a Malaysian logistics company aiming to become the de-facto platform that connects thousands upon thousands of individuals and corporate clients with trucks, lorry, and van owners across Southeast Asia.
The platform looks to make the process of acquiring heavy-load or long-haul transportation vehicles, ranging from house-moving to heavy-industry equipment, all the more simple and easy.
With its newly-obtained funding, TheLorry is looking to strengthen its presence in the four major markets that it’s currently in now like Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia. At the same time, the startup is also looking to improve the perception of lorry and truck drivers in the eyes of the public.
Coming a long way since its initial Series A funding in 2016, TheLorry has transformed into a massively profitable venture which has also seen an exponential growth following its ambitious expansions to Thailand and Indonesia in 2018.
Looking forwards, the team behind TheLorry is planning to further build on their current success by increasing their standing as the top logistics provider within the SEA region. To that end, their focus in the upcoming years would be to enhance their current line of products revolving the idea of making logistics more efficient, seamless, and affordable. This strategy includes shipping newer, hi-tech products and improving, as well as upgrading their existing catalogue.
Additionally, the team is always on the look out for other markets in the SEA region other than the four that they are presently in to take on in the future.
